Trust & Doubt

Hello readers,

Hope you all are doing great.
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

-Bertrand Russell

Every individual’s day to day activities from dawn to dusk is centered on doubt and trust. A person before commencing any work has to trust the people around him. Then only one can be guaranteed of getting better results. What is happening in the current generation is most of them are working half-heartedly. That is because the value of doubt is getting bigger than trust. We frequently listen people saying that “Don’t trust anyone”, but how is it possible to work in a society without trusting anyone.

After you wake up in the morning at first you have to trust yourself before starting the day and you have to trust your people at home and at work. One cannot start his day on doubting on himself and being sceptical on people at home and at work. Then there will be a disagreeable environment around that person and he or she will never be happy throughout his life.

We all play the roles of doubting characters in our lives in one or the other way. There are few characters who doubt on their own existence. Have the people become so untrustworthy that there is always a doubt on everyone for everything? Doubt is definitely playing a very significant role in every individual’s life.

This is causing a serious mental distress for the people. Without any cause people have started to react in a sudden manner for the issues which have not yet begun. Could wrong assumption and perception among the people be the cause of doubt?

For example: let us take Mr. X is a person who always doubts Mr. Y for his every action and yet there is some sort of a relationship between them where Mr. Y knows that he is always being doubted by Mr.X. They are sociable and they talk a lot over the phone. In this case if Mr. Y is an untrusted person according to Mr. X then what is making Mr.X to speak to Mr.Y?

Further continuing on the above instance, we can say that both the persons Mr X and Mr Y are unknowingly trusting each other but they are fully not confident on each other now why is that? Is this half trust or half doubt syndrome carried on from generations to generations? the actual truth is a big no, the older generations had better trust and understanding with each other. But has the world lost values and became more materialized we started losing trust with each other .

We think we have solid historic examples to support this like for example the British Invasion :if we as Indians had the unity and trust among us we think the history of India after 1800 AD would be different.

The Importance.

It is very important to trust someone in life because the whole world works on trust, starting from a space mission to the smallest of jobs it works on trust, we give the steering wheel to the person whom we believe knowledgeable and trust them to deliver, if we keep thinking “is this person capable of doing this task?” we think we can never achieve anything in life therefore trusting someone is a calculated risk a person should take.

The trend.

After technological advancements have taken over the world, the world of communication has also advanced very quickly, but there are some disadvantages especially due to this advancement in communication for example the blue tick in the famous communication application whatsapp implies that the receiver for that message has read your message, but our psychologies have changed so much that we start doubting that person if he or she doesn’t reply after the tick mark turns blue.

Dear readers just think, can just a tick mark decide the whole relationship with that person, and we know all relations build or fall apart due to these  two words. This is just a small example but, there are many more like these, where such factors have overtaken our values.

To conclude we leave it to you as to how important these two subtle words are; should we trust all doubt none or should we be suspicious on everyone or should there be a balance?

Thanks for your time
