Bogus Gurus.

Hello readers,

-Swami Vivekananda.

                                                   His holiness Sri Swami Vivekananda

India is considered to be a holy land. It has given birth to, many great gurus and sages who have attained the highest level of truth. It is one of the only few countries in the world which is very rich spiritually. People from all over the world come to this great land to seek what is true knowledge and to attain the salvation.

Greatest  gurus who hail from India have shown the world how to realise the truth. And as human beings our prime hunger should be to know what the real truth is. India what was once known for its philosophical knowledge is now slowly having a negative transformation.

It is also said that many great gurus had the power of creating parallel worlds. It was possible by them to reach that level was only because of their power of concentration.

The Great Gurus of India:

Sri Adi Shankaracharya: Born in 788 AD in a village called Kaladi in the state of Kerala. He was the greatest renowned philosopher.  He brought new life to the Vedas. His interpretations gave a new birth to the Advaita Philosophy.

Sri Madavacharya: born Vasudeva, also known as Purana Prajña and Ananda Tīrtha, was a Hindu philosopher and the chief proponent of the Dvaita school of Vedanta. Madhva himself called his philosophy as "Tattvavada" meaning realism. It is one of the three most influential Vedanta philosophies. Madhvācārya was one of the important philosophers during the Bhakti movement.

Sri Ramanuja : was a Hindu theologian, philosopher, and scriptural exegete, born in a Tamil Brahmin family in the village of Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. He is also known as Sri Ramanujacharya, Udayavar, Ethirajar
(Yatiraja),Emberumannar and Lakshmana Muni. He is seen by Sri Vaishnavism as the most important acharya (teacher) of their tradition who followed Nathamuni and Yamunacharya, and by Hindus in general as the leading expounder of Vishishtadvaita, one of the classical interpretations of the dominant Vedanta school of Vedic philosophy.

Sri Swami Vivekananda
: Born in Calcutta. His guru was Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Whom; many people have believed that he was tan avatar of Sri Krishna who introduced Vivekananda to the Advaita Vedanta. Swami Vivekananda introduced Vedanta to Europe and America, where he gave an inspirational speech in the parliament of world's religion at Chicago. He founded the Ramakrishna Mission.

Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati: Born in Tamil Nadu. He was a doctor in Malaysia where later he renounced his medical practice and moved towards spirituality. He toured length and breadth of India to awaken the moral and spiritual consciousness of people. He founded the Divine Life Society at Rishikesh with main aim of spreading the spiritual knowledge and service to mankind.

This was what India was known for and most talked about. This land of great gurus is now becoming a land of bogus gurus.

From time immemorial Indians have cultivated the habit of fear towards the god. Excess fear has caused damages to the lives of many innocent people. Fear, up to a minimal level would keep an individual disciplined and would not give any room for blind beliefs.

But the sad part starts from here, India being land of tradition and spiritual heritage is now in a phase where the sentiments and fear mentality and the true devotion of the devotees are being misused by some of the so called Swami Ji’s here which is a disaster.

For example if we take Mr.X to be a be a self-proclaimed Guru and ,Mr Y a poor devotees facing some problems in his life hears about this person on Television and decides to seeks his advice ,is not the duty of the god an to help him if he is an evolved soul, but what happens is nothing but business ,and the guru asking some wants which are purely materialistic ,we have often seen on television's the assets and scams of the so called “great gurus” ,who also been imprisoned .

Actually we as citizens and the followers of our religion of our choice have and share the equal responsibility in cultivating and motivating these fake gurus. Mainly for three reasons the first one would be our fear that ,we cannot question a guru!? 2. Expecting miracles to happen and 3 the blind belief and superstitions.

Why can't we think in this way, if seeking God and salvation was so simple ,why should people struggle in life and fight to live? Everyone could have become a sanyasi, but here comes the difference Sanyasi is a person who has given up this world as we see it and leads a life of sacrifice sacrifices his, pleasures, emotions relations and so on.
The amazing part is that the modern Sanyasi go for a yathra with Z class security and own mansions and vehicles like the leading businessman in the country, and all these great pontiffs entering politics is literally meaningless.

So now becoming a guru has become nothing but a profession or business.
We have read history about the great saints in other religions too. Which are also been contaminated by these modern gurus.

We agree this whole topic is a very sensitive one but, should we start encouraging a non deserving person to become a guru and respect him, well we think that is not way,if that happens the great souls we spoke earlier won't be happy ,in the higher world they are staying .
Lets Live in the direction the divine souls have told us to lead a life of purity ,and lets top caring about amateurs who don't even know the meaning of spirituality  practise the divinity and sanyasa Karma as profession and business.

Thanks a lot for your time have a great Sunday ahead.

Living with Hope
