Trust & Doubt

Hello readers,

Hope you all are doing great.
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

-Bertrand Russell

Every individual’s day to day activities from dawn to dusk is centered on doubt and trust. A person before commencing any work has to trust the people around him. Then only one can be guaranteed of getting better results. What is happening in the current generation is most of them are working half-heartedly. That is because the value of doubt is getting bigger than trust. We frequently listen people saying that “Don’t trust anyone”, but how is it possible to work in a society without trusting anyone.

After you wake up in the morning at first you have to trust yourself before starting the day and you have to trust your people at home and at work. One cannot start his day on doubting on himself and being sceptical on people at home and at work. Then there will be a disagreeable environment around that person and he or she will never be happy throughout his life.

We all play the roles of doubting characters in our lives in one or the other way. There are few characters who doubt on their own existence. Have the people become so untrustworthy that there is always a doubt on everyone for everything? Doubt is definitely playing a very significant role in every individual’s life.

This is causing a serious mental distress for the people. Without any cause people have started to react in a sudden manner for the issues which have not yet begun. Could wrong assumption and perception among the people be the cause of doubt?

For example: let us take Mr. X is a person who always doubts Mr. Y for his every action and yet there is some sort of a relationship between them where Mr. Y knows that he is always being doubted by Mr.X. They are sociable and they talk a lot over the phone. In this case if Mr. Y is an untrusted person according to Mr. X then what is making Mr.X to speak to Mr.Y?

Further continuing on the above instance, we can say that both the persons Mr X and Mr Y are unknowingly trusting each other but they are fully not confident on each other now why is that? Is this half trust or half doubt syndrome carried on from generations to generations? the actual truth is a big no, the older generations had better trust and understanding with each other. But has the world lost values and became more materialized we started losing trust with each other .

We think we have solid historic examples to support this like for example the British Invasion :if we as Indians had the unity and trust among us we think the history of India after 1800 AD would be different.

The Importance.

It is very important to trust someone in life because the whole world works on trust, starting from a space mission to the smallest of jobs it works on trust, we give the steering wheel to the person whom we believe knowledgeable and trust them to deliver, if we keep thinking “is this person capable of doing this task?” we think we can never achieve anything in life therefore trusting someone is a calculated risk a person should take.

The trend.

After technological advancements have taken over the world, the world of communication has also advanced very quickly, but there are some disadvantages especially due to this advancement in communication for example the blue tick in the famous communication application whatsapp implies that the receiver for that message has read your message, but our psychologies have changed so much that we start doubting that person if he or she doesn’t reply after the tick mark turns blue.

Dear readers just think, can just a tick mark decide the whole relationship with that person, and we know all relations build or fall apart due to these  two words. This is just a small example but, there are many more like these, where such factors have overtaken our values.

To conclude we leave it to you as to how important these two subtle words are; should we trust all doubt none or should we be suspicious on everyone or should there be a balance?

Thanks for your time

Man in the mirror.

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing great.

Yatha Raja,Thatha Praja

-Sanskrit Proverb.

But We feel this proverb has become the other way round that is Yatha Praja Tatha Raja let us find out why.

We the people of India are good at talking things which are absolutely of no use.

We lack common-sense. We are least bothered about everything which is happening around us. We don't care or respect each other, We have to be selfish but that also has a threshold level, beyond which is not virtuous. In reality what are we? We are highly greedy and egoistic to the core.

Progress of a nation is entirely in the hands of its people. But what kind of people matters a lot. We recently had a conversation with a police constable. While talking, he said there is no one who would come out and support when there is any issue that requires people support.

Why should we bother? It is none of our business. Let us first look after ourselves. These are the usual dialogues what we voice.
Escapism and blaming is what we are extremely good at. How often we accept our mistakes? Just point your fingers on the other person and be safe.

Any rule or law is for the well being of the people only. What we do? We start to find a loophole in the law or rule and make it as per our requirements.

What kind of development is expected? Development has to happen  from within. There is no point in constructing multi-storey buildings and improving the infrastructure unless and until there are true people in it.

We talk about change all the time, but that change is possible only if that change comes from within.

We have read countless articles of changing the system, corruption the way things work in India, well we have so much material that we can publish a  textbook on this.

But the problem is we just read or express our concerns to one another and have made this a social talk  when we meet relatives or friends and we conclude “this country does not have a future and so on.

But have we any time thought about this: whose country is it? Who is responsible for how things work around here?

The answer all points out to the man in the mirror, of course it is us.

Let us take a small example of the Bengaluru Corporation election that happened yesterday we read in the papers that only 45% turned out to vote what about the rest of the 55% why did they not come out to exercise their franchise do they not care about the locality where the reside? We feel this is one of the reasons why  undeserving people get the power.

It is each and every citizen’s duty and right to vote. Why should anybody vote for those who are unlawful? The people should be asked for their decision. What is happening in reality is the person who is issuing the ticket and the candidate, both are corrupt. This very problem has to be addressed at the root itself.

Why can't the people (we) question during the nomination of the candidates ? if we feel that the candidate who is contesting for the elections is a rogue why do we allow him to contest at the first place?

Why don't we speak out when it matters the most? It is because we know only to argue mindlessly.

We feel enough is enough we should start changing ourselves, that will be first step to at least get out of this vicious circle.

Let us stop throwing stones at others when we know we all are in a glass house.

Michael Jackson the King of pop composed the song 'Man in the mirror' so finally it all points to us.

Even the famous movie director and actor Upendra Rao has tried to bring this awareness in all his movies.

Ballot box.

Hello readers

Hope you had a good week.

With the banner of Nationalism in our hearts to build up a Mighty India, let us march forward on the path of Duty. This is no time for rest; this is no occasion for faltering. Let us go onwards and onwards, till we reach the Goal.”

-Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

India is one of the biggest democracies in the world, and our election system is also the one of the most complex systems which is used to select the leader of this great country.

68 years ago ,on august 15th we achieved independence from the british empire, all through these years we have been choosing leaders and this whole electoral process is very organised in India and it takes months together until the D-day arrives and the" valuable votes" as usually expressed by the politicians is casted and there we have a new government.

You may be wondering why we have called this blog as the ballot box even though the election commission of India introduced the electronic voting machines ,we feel only the voting methods have but nothing else has changed much.

But there are some slips in the system and we feel they are very much important yes they have been missed: first is the accountability, which almost no leader is taking and willing to take, the second concern will be the guarantee.

Just take a small instance ,if we buy any product we usually get a certificate which is popularly called the warranty for the product say for 1 year or 2 years or even more the manufacturer is sure his product won't screw-up within that time frame is ready for a replacement if some issue happens.

Now do we get any sort of guarantee from our leaders when they get into power that ,they will achieve some milestones in their span of 5 years ,what we get is a big list of all the developments that is said to be fulfilled and ,only few will be done or half done in that tenure .

Then the basic question will arise which is ,why should we vote? One issue has been bothering since time immemorial i.e., the use of rowdy elements by the politicians for election campaigning purposes and many other drives. During the time of Bengaluru Corporation elections we tend to see many rowdies shouting slogans for their leaders.

Rowdies  act as private Z class security for these politicians.

How can one expect good work from the politicians after being elected? The allotted years they serve are only for their betterment.

The nation needs a drastic revolutionary change. Many people think it’s practically an impossible task to turn the gears around. If this attitude persists for ever then our nation will witness a severe grave danger. A day might come where the entire nation would be taken over by the underworld.

It means that it does not hold good only for the Corporation elections, it has its bearings till the MP elections. Does it have any moral ground? Definitely not, it has been deep-rooted in our Indian political systems.

This problem of electing our representatives has to be addressed from the root. The cleansing work has to begin with our people. We as the common publics of the country, we have to be interested in the upbringing. Unfortunately, only handful of them fights for the upward mobility. Don’t care attitude of the people have to be shattered.

Why we elect our representatives? It is because it’s their duty to see the wellbeing of society. But is it happening in  reality? No because neither common men question nor the politicians show any responsibility. They make sure that their purpose is met and their needs are satisfied.

Can we guess what are their needs, yes of course have we not seen scams and the castle of black money built in and kept safely in many Switzerland banks!?

The two words accountability and guarantee is missing in Indian politics.

The Corporation elections are just a week away in Bengaluru and the we are witnessing the campaigning and canvassing in full pomp and prosperity, we wish they could do their duty after we elect them.

We feel this fabricated way of canvassing the rowdyism, the vote bank politics is definitely good for the leaders but miserable for we the citizens of the nation.

We see in today's parliament they are many convicts  who are still MPs' we strongly condemn this  and appeal to the government to look into matter with utmost seriousness.

We bow to all the freedom fighters that have helped India to breathe the air of freedom after all we are living today, because of the theit turmoil and patriotism.

In a famous Hindi Movie “Rang de Basanti” there is a famous dialog which was told by Flight lieutenant Ajay Rathore: No nation is perfect we need to make it perfect, let’s become scientists, businessmen or politicians and run this nation”

In the upcoming Bengaluru Corporation elections more than half of  them are rowdy sheeters. But, who is raising voice over them?

Let’s hope for a better future and remember the future is with us, we must equally share responsibility with the leaders and we must elect the deserving leaders.

Thanks for your time.

Farmers-The injured backbones of India.

Hello readers,

Hope you all are doing great.

Let us not forget that the cultivation of the earth is the most important labour of man. When tillage begins, other arts will follow. The farmers, therefore, are the founders of civilization.
-Daniel Webster

India is a land of villages. Where, majority of the population in India depend on farming. In terms of crop output India is only second to China. The farmers are considered as the backbone of the nation. In reality, the backbone status looks like it’s just on papers.

The luxury of food what we people are relishing today is only because of the farmers. But have we ever even thought about them? Is it not our duty to know about the challenges faced by them and don't we all feel ashamed when a poor farmer commits suicide.

There are thousands of farmers who are committing suicides; news channels telecast them without any cessations and for us it has become a type of entertainment. After the news we just natter about the issue with others and that day is over. We have to be ashamed of ourselves. If not something big at least we can do a little for the betterment of the farmers.

There are many whys and wherefores for which farmers commit suicide, but the main issue to be addressed is the debt-trap to which the farmers fall into. Farmers usually take loans from the private financiers. These private financiers harass the farmers at the time of the repayment of the loan. The interest amount charged on the loans would be very high. As we all know that more 70% of our country’s agriculture is relied on rainfall and the remaining on irrigation.

When the rainfall is scanty and there is failure of monsoons, it would be evidently a tough job for the farmers to get the yield. There will be very low yield at the first place, and small sacks of yields that are available won’t fetch them good money in the market.
On the whole, the farmers will be trapped between the devil and the deep blue sea.

The situation is getting worse and more worse each day, as the number of suicides are increasing and, we feel one day this will end up as a catastrophe and each one of us will suffer from this as we depend on these people for our food.

We have brain stormed and come out with solutions for this problem ,as we recently read on the news ,first the loans that are due from the forwards should be relaxed and should not be asked to repay, alternatively the farmers have to be given training to handle stressful situations and financial aid is a must .

The members of parliament, can also coordinate with each other and buy stop this concept of 1rupee roti, this system is very sad and highly illogical, we do agree that our parliamentarians run this country but why shouldn't they pay a fair amount as we pay in hotels when we compare a middle class persons remuneration, it’s not even close to the salary what they are earning, why this imbalance?

We strongly condemn this 1 rupee roti concept, because on the contrary the children of farmers and many ill-fated people in India are dying with starvation and can’t afford that rupee.

The next one is the list is the literacy rates of our farmers, according to a survey almost in a survey we studied about this topic we saw that there are at most 30% of farmers in India who are educated, here education is not only the basic secondary education, but also the technical knowledge which is required by them like:

Modern cultivation system) Seeds and planting materials, Diseases and pest management ,Manure and fertilizer management ,Weather information ,Soil and water conservation Irrigation ,Government schemes on agriculture ,Post-harvest techniques ,Market information ,Weeding and thinning Storage of crops.

Market information plays a vital role ,it is almost  like a catalyst to the whole process of cultivation, because India is totally a seasonal country and tradition dependent country where we like to eat some fruits and vegetables in that particular month of an year for instance the mangoes in summer and the Hyacinth Bean or the Indian bean  cocommonly known in Karnataka as Avarekai.

There is also a negative trend in India where the upcoming progenies of farmers are hesitant to take farming as profession due to the wormhole of problems they are suffering from.
The portrait of a farmer.

Let’s do a small activity just imagine an American farmer in your mind, what was the picture that struck your mind...a banded shirt individual with Levis jeans and a Jute cap with a tiller or a modernized combine harvester and cute little farmhouse!

Now repeat the same and imagine an Indian farmer what is the picture you recapitulated? An old man who is weak and sad tilling on a barren land with an old hut which can fall on a rainy day?

We strongly condemn the all the ministers who have taken this issue very lightly as we have seen in some press interviews the cheap comments what they speak to evade the media, and we also question the human rights activists who fight for saving criminals! Now where is there part in this issue?

Many of you can feel we are actually bringing it the negativity out ,but this is the sad truth ! when USA which is considered as the number one in all fields in the world can give so much to a farmer why can't we? Once upon a time the learned men say ,we were the chief hub for the spice chain throughout the world but know the tables are turning and the backbones are getting fractured each day and living a hopeless life this a treachery.

We had read an article in the economic times which was about the MNCs from the US ,Canada ,Australia Netherlands Israel are investing in Indian agriculture and the positives of it and also the perfect technological advancements that they were ready to offer in cold seed biotechnology and so on these type of actives has to be encouraged.

We also appreciate the present Government for the steps taken by them towards cooperative farming the concept of food park which was recently inaugurated in Tumkur ,Karnataka.

We are sure we can change this ,we have the best brains in the world ,but there are many barriers of which is not letting the flow of knowledge the upgrade out agricultural practises to achieve greater heights .

With that note we leave you with these thoughts and we feel we can all work as team and help the farmers to come out of this misery.

Judgement questioned?

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing great.

"It is very easy to DEFEAT someone ,but it is very hard to WIN someone."
-Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam.

India is a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic nation. People have been given the fundamental rights and freedom of speech and religion and many more. There are many human rights activists in India, whose duty is to fight against the unfairness. But the reality is totally different. Just because this land has given people the rights, the human rights activists should not ill use it.

If we study the judiciary system of India we have well framed laws ,when we look at a case for that matter both the prosecutor and defender  are given equal opportunities to prove their innocence  and the final judgment is given by the judge. This is actually the usual course of action followed even though the courts in India are known to take a long period to solve cases but in the end we have seen justice is honoured, and injustice is condemned.

But now we are facing a new problem in India, which is actually a paradox, which is the human rights menace, who is quiet when innocent people are killed criminally by planting bombs and other anti-social accomplishments .But they shout their hearts out when a convict is about to be hanged what a tragedy?

Is it not justice to castigate a criminal? But for many human rights activists it is unlawful to penalize those criminals.

Recently Yakub Memon a chartered accountant turned criminal was hanged in Nagpur Jail as he was proved guilty for the 1993 Mumbai blasts. Many human rights activists objected the apex courts order. They argued that hanging a person till death is not tolerable. Yes it would be not accepted if an innocent was sentenced to death. But in this case Yakub had taken more 250 innocent lives, which according to the activists is not at all a crime. And the criminal’s life is very important. We are not sure what logic these great activists follow.

Recently we read a troll in which we read about a real life incident of a police officer in India, who actually explained us the real hardships he faced when he was on a mission, he says the rage and fury of the miscreants is unimaginable ,and they are just waiting to pull the trigger which is quite bloodcurdling.

After they are arrested  and produced in court , ideally they should be happy with their achievement that they have arrested a law breaker, we salute the police force with pride for protecting us from such societal bugs.

But on the contrary they are feeling sad because they are rewarded with human rights activists who are readily waiting for filing mercy petitions on the convicts which is totally demoralising for the police and the courts as well.

Earlier this week we watched some debates in various news channels about this issue, where people like Tushar Gandhi and John Dayal  were arguing with this so called logic “A person cannot be reformed if he is sentenced to death, but he can be reformed if he is given a life sentence!”

Are you serious?

How is that even possible just think if a person is given a  life sentence ,his complete state of mind would have been changed even if he breaks his parole and comes out to rejoin society ,who knows how will be his mind set?

We feel people should definitely start living in the real world, rather than living in an illusion with illogical thinking in their minds. We would agree with Mr .Tussar if he would have pardoned Nathuram Godse who was behind the assassination of his Grandpa Mahatma Gandhi, if we take this as a hypothetical situation that Mr.Tussar was the judge for that case.

What about those 293 souls?
There is also this trend of communalizing, politicizing and bringing the religion factor in this issue, which is also very absurd, as this concerns our country, not any religion ,community or political party.

As the saying goes :As you sow so shall you reap ,everyone should be responsible for their actions  these mindless debates should be treated by courts as contempt of court and necessary actions should be taken against these irrational citizens who are so called activists.

Thanks for your time.
