In every individual’s life, the most cherished moments
would be the days spent in schools and colleges. Isn’t this true? This
realization would happen only during the culmination days of the college life.
Life is easy during the college days with minimal responsibilities.
But life moves on and it will be not the same.
Why a particular field?
This is the first question that needs to be asked. What
drives an individual to choose a particular field? According to us there are
three kinds of different individual mind-sets which make him/her to choose a
particular field.
First category: in this category students would have predetermined their goals.They would have chosen a particular field based on their willingness,
interest and capability.
Second category: students who fall under this
category are half minded, they will not have clear goals set. They follow a
herd mentality, by following someone without any purpose.Without proper
direction which will make them land in a miserable situation. So there has to
someone who guides these students to a correct path.
And the third categories of students are those who will
always be under pressure, even if they know that they are good at a particular
field, they will not be in a position to take decisions. The family members are
at the faulty side where they decide what the individuals have to do. And
eventually pushes the student to some field where he/she will have zero
aptitude in that field.
The post degree phase.
So now we are in phase where the students have completed their graduation and is now called a graduate, so as the path of his
career decided by him earlier he would go ahead and look out for
an employment.
The job.
We are sure among our readers many are working,
and we all know what a job is, but still let’s just have a refresher about this
concept. If we just Google the meaning of job we get this answer “Job is a paid
position of regular employment “.
Yes definitely we need to money to
survive in this society and hence we take up jobs, these are all the basic amenities
to service in a civilized society. Let’s take a deeper dive today and
understand about jobs and career and how we are trying to correlate it with our
title “after college what next”?
The positive part of this era is there
are countless opportunities in life to choose, what to become in life ,what you
take up as a profession we must definitely acknowledge as the big maturity leap
we all have completed ,but still there are some negatives in this ,to start
with ,the first one would too many options to choose and ,your lost to take
which road to take?!,
Many attractive options which lead to confusion,
the lack of proper guidance from the person’s parent or teachers and also there
is no judging capacity by the job seeker himself. So all these end you up in a situation
where you always keep wondering that life would have been better, maybe I
chose wrong lane, repentance!
The perfect Job.
Moving lets discuss this, we have heard
this term when we go to headhunter or the Human resource of a company you
liked to work to say, that I feel this would be the perfect job for you.
Now let’s think for a while, do we agree
with our self that there is something called as perfect job we feel the answer
in no, no job is perfect, we need to make it perfect by taking it seriously and
for that job that to be perfect we must first like what we are doing .So the
concept of perfect job is totally a responsibility owned by you ,who should
make that job perfect..
The Mind-set.
We decided to write this blog because we
are seeing major concerns in India that need to be addressed.
The students who want to seriously
become that someone in their life are not able to become to various pressures
and also shortcomings in them as well.
We have listed some of the reasons which
we feel has to be addressed.
The first one would be ,the knowledge
factor-The students of this generation's lack the deeper knowledge that is
required ,if you ask us why do they lack it ,there are many reasons ,the
intention to study and understand the subject is now considered as almost a
waste of time ,and this policy of study one day before the assessment has
become famous! And also the we forget to give the respect to knowledge and treat
it as degree which can be traded to a hefty salary and a enjoyable work life!
What a disaster.
The home factor.
We all agree in the Indian middle class
or let’s say for the parents ,who can afford decent schools ,have their own approaches
towards guiding their kids ,though many of them are right ,others fail to do so
in a right way ,the kids are often pushed upon and forced to take up careers
similarities to the profession they have taken up! And the Child’s desire is
not even asked that is a very unfortunate.
We have to move on and keep the future generation
motivated that whatever path of education and career they want to choose it has
to respect and they should be allowed to grow, and the youth also have to attain
a level of maturity and understand what they want to do in life.
We would like to conclude by saying,
after college what next is a simple question, the simple answer for this equation
lies within and take wise decisions by first understanding what we want to
become life, by choosing the correct goal and the action plan to achieve it.
