Guardians of the Forest.

This write up is about our country's less known  and a very courageous department the forest 

department. 

The personnel in this department would have dedicated themselves to protect the divine forests and it's wildlife.

How many of  us would be ready to work under uncertain conditions? All of us would generally opt for a very cozy and comfortable lifestyle. None of us would even be aware of what is going on in our surroundings.

Protection of the forests is indeed the duty of every individual. Can a techie go and patrol the forests leaving his work. It's not possible. For that there are people who are working meticulously for the protection of the forests,and have taken high risks in life and dedicated their life for nature.

Amidst all the difficulties the personnel in the forest department are really doing a very great job. In this blog it's not only about the IFS(Indian Forest Service). It's more about the lower order of the hierarchy of the department ,(Range Forest Officer, Forester, guard and watcher),who are responsible for surveillance and patrolling.

 The personnel who work at the lower order of the hierarchy should be given the same respect.,because a tree cannot stand without its roots.

The personnel who work at the top level of the hierarchy, the IFS cadre would give the orders to the lower level,who execute the order,which involves great courage and will.

The personnel are trained very hard to get accustomed to such uncertain harsh  environment. They have to walk for miles and have to constantly patrol the forests to ensure the protection.

Once they enter the field, they have to forget their personal life and engage themselves completely to their job.

The basic facilities that are provided to the personnel who are working at the lower order of the hierarchy are minimal by the Government. Yet they give in their best.

Currently there is a shortage of personnel in the lower order of the hierarchy. The Government should ensure proper recruitment procedures for the personnel. More funds should be allocated for this purpose.

They have to fight against , poachers, smugglers and many more anti-social elements who try to destroy the ecosystem for personal gains and are total heartless ,we call the modern monsters.

We feel there is a need in implementing ,the laws related to forest and if dynamic and young people are part of this department it will help in conserving the forests and wildlife.

Another issue is  the lack of scope and exposure in this area of interest for young aspirants who want to take up the responsibility of saving nature's heritage and protecting its invaluable creations.

We always think in a narrow window of career options and sideline ,arts ,history,forest service and other fields relate to agriculture,this happens due to the comfort and risk free life we want to live.but at least for the people who want to do some reforms and serve the forests there should be an opportunity and easy road to succeed in their career,we urge the parents too to encourage their children who want to take up this service.

We would like to conclude by giving a message to one and all to be proud our forest guards who help in conserving the nature from which we evolved and have completely forgotten about caring for it.

The Real Heroes

 Round the clock the activities around us won't stop. Every individual is indirectly or directly benefited by various people whom he wouldn't have even known about.

In this blog we would like to write about the 'Real Heroes'. So who are these people.? It is impossible to even imagine for a second as to how? the world would be without these real heroes!

If a person wants to get a haircut, he immediately rushes to the nearest barber. Similarly if a person wants his/her footwear to be repaired, he/she will go to a cobbler. These are the people whom we call  the Real Heroes. The cobblers, head scavengers,barbers and hawkers to name a few.

Have we ever thought about these people? No we wouldn't have because why is it important for us? In what way it is beneficial to us directly? Forget about thinking about them. Have we at least talked to them politely and smiled at them and cared to ask bout their whereabouts? 

So what is stopping us from being polite to those people. It is the 3 letter word which is holding us back EGO.

A manhole is blocked in a locality. Head scavengers would be roped in to the spot. Then the job would be done by that person, imagine if that head scavenger is not available or there are no head scavengers at all. How would the job be done? Will a techie do this job? No. What is the solution for such a kind of situation? The answer is head scavenger. He will be the only solution for these kinds of situations.

No job is inferior and no job is superior. Each has got its own values.

That is one point that creates a difference between India and other countries of the world ,the factor of dignity labour is very much taken in a positive sense in the countries abroad and all the professions are given equal importance,but in India there is always this factor of superiority and inferiority between the poor and the rich or the above mentioned professionals ,even though their job is ancillary ,and completes our life that we enjoy more than they enjoying there own simple lives,they  do deserve their share of respect for sure.

We have heard of many strikes and agitations organised by the municipal corporation workers for the only reason that their wages have not been paid,which should never happen and very unfortunate  according to us .We must definitely move towards the strategic and matured way of managing  the state of affairs in this country which will help in  also getting jobs for people who are in need of it.

We are sure that if the government looks into these issues,and creates jobs for sensitive and grass root cadres  like these ,India will progress and will a see a gradual positive change and help in decrease of poverty.We would also like to appreciate the present government for starting the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan which is stepping stone,and is cognitive solution ,to improve the overall cleanliness of this great country.

Lets all treat the real heros who do practical work ,and help us lead us our lives smoothly and have the greatest attitude of service ad cleanliness.

The Concrete Jungle.

Bengaluru the capital city of the state of Karnataka. It is also called as the garden city of India, silicon city of India and city of pubs. It is the 5th metro city after Chennai and also one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Bengaluru is known for its weather, which is no like other.

Kempe Gowda, known as the founder of the city. He played a very important role in shaping up the city. The city was made as the capital by the British. Bengaluru is also known for its rich heritage and culture.

Bengaluru would have been one of the best and also would be a very peaceful city in India, if the city was perfectly planned.

What the city was 50 years back within the four towers, is now a completely a different one. Life has become tough in Bengaluru. No lung spaces, only buildings wherever you go. And also not a safe place for the women. What a shame it is for a city like Bengaluru to earn such a bad name.

What are the reasons that made the city to take a drastic turn? First of them would be of population. People from all parts of the country prefer Bengaluru, because of the endless opportunities that it provides to the people. From here the problem arises. When there is a huge range of floating population in the city, it creates havoc.

Many people who reside in Bengaluru, hesitate to speak in Kannada, we must appreciate some people though they have come from outer states they still make an effort to learn Kannada! Which is the official language of the state? This attitude of the people would have a negative impact on the culture. Respecting the local culture shall be the duty of every individual.

Un-controlled population creates an undue attraction such as the real estate mafia. There is no space for the people to build houses, which is leading them to acquire illegal acquisitions. This results in the increasing demand for the real estate. 

Lakes started disappearing due to illegal encroachment for the purpose of construction of buildings. Almost 80% of the city's lakes have been vanished. Illegal felling of trees. All these have created a chaos, absolutely no peace to live.

Secondly, rapid industrialisation. When things are not planned it's a sheer disaster. Why concentrate only Bengaluru. Is this the only city to get hit by all? Rapid industrialisation created huge employment opportunities, which attracted the people from all over the country. All these factors have become ingredients for the lack of discipline in the city. 

Development is necessary for the progress but not at the cost of environment.

We feel there caring for the environment and also urbanization is very much possible and can be done by scientific methodology the sad part is that, people have lost tolerance towards other beings and the mother earth which have made them brutally selfish and greedy.

In 2001 there was the big I.T boom where numerous Multi-national companies started their operation and tech hubs, from a statistical and rational aspect as the job market got this boom, the government should have analysed the trends in the increasing number of vehicles on the road and planned them, upgraded them and also should have started the projects like local trains and Metros, early so that they would have come to conclusion by now.

 

Speaking of projects, due to the corruption which we spoke in our last blog. It is very difficult to keep the momentum of the project going on; this problem is not only in Bengaluru but everywhere in India.

Even the issue of floating population, is another region for the chaos we see on the way to our work place, building huge faults near to the business centres, by just destroying the lakes or terrain present there, then the most unfortunate part is the digging of countless bore wells and lowering the Groundwater table to ,to the danger levels.

All these mindless building of concrete jungles have lead to the tremendous collection of garbage waste which the authorities are finding difficult to manage and recycle.

Well these are all the problems, what is the solution? Each one us is the solution, if we start making small changes like carpooling, not buying expensive cars, and driving it alone! Not just buying multiple flats throughout the city to just evade taxes! Spreading awareness to people about the dangers of water table depletion and so on.

The government has to really work on the urban -eco balance and help this environment survive, hope we will all join hands and do the needful at the earliest. Which will help to save the charm of this beautiful city?

End corruption!

There has been a lot of talking about corruption in India. Wherein, no file will be moved forward without this infamously well  known word called 'bribe'. So what impact does it have on the progress of the country?

This is an issue in India which is been prevailing from a very long time. There is a common saying that the entire system in India is completely submerged in corruption. Yes, this is the fact that everybody accepts. But how can a country like India which is rich in its values, beliefs and culture take a drastic drift toward the unwanted.

Who should be blamed for this? The politicians, bureaucrats, industrialists, businessmen or the common people. The answer is all of the above.

Corruption is a fraudulent conduct by those in power. This spells out that a person who is very powerful abuses the power and heads to acquire everything.
Why is it like this? It is because the people are not given proper education and awareness. Money has become the only thing which is valued more than a human life. When people are not aware of what is legal and what is not, things cannot be put back on track.

Getting the job done, either by hook or crook is what the attitude is prevailing in these days. When an individual develops this kind of an attitude it is disastrous. This has resulted in  various forms or types of corruption such as bribery, fudging, manipulation, falsification and so on. A person becomes desperate for getting the jobs done and at the other side is also a sign of desperation of acceptance which leads to all types of corruption.

These types of corruption is directly proportional to the greediness of an individual. When the wants and needs are not at  all satisfying an individual, he tends to involve himself in these kinds of acts. The other reason could be of pressure. A person at the power orders his subordinates to yield for something which is not ethical. The subordinate has to accept the order, or else he would be threatened to death.

This will have an negative impact on the progress of the country. For the progression to happen, India today needs people who value a life more than money.

Now if we take a  discussion on bribery or people giving bribes and taking bribes ,for this tie frame or the tie line ,we must go back to the pre independence days ,when the first of the zamindars and the the kings of small colonies sated accepting bribes from the governour generals ,for giving our soil to them fro trading  and many other uses,this habit was very young at that stage ,but was allowed to grow so fast that now it has become a immortal monster.

the simple point is that if we have to end corruption the change has to come from within ,not from politicians who say that they have all the black money accounts in their finger tips and they would never want to reveal it.

We think the corruption in real estate and other government related procedures can be reduced if the  processes get standardized,and we feel it is possible only if the lawmakers don't become law breakers and also the people ,will have to take that  sincere  responsibility to pay that ticket ,when they get caught for over speeding or any other traffic violation.These are the small steps with which we can start and it will end up as a good snowball effect and erase this monster forever.
